For safety’s sake, all components
of the combustion system are hard wired. Redundant combustion
system’s contact closures enter the PLC for monitoring
and alarm only.
All flame safeguard devices are FM, IRI,
UL and NFPA approved.
All flame safeguard components are manufactured
by Honeywell.
Combustion control is designed for full
modulation with proof of low fire start.
Maxon gas safety valve has a proof of closure
switch interlocked with the burner start command.
The RTO is equipped with a FM stand-alone
timer that insures a 3 minute purge time prior to ignition.
The main exhaust fan is equipped with a
high temperature FM shut down switch.
All controls are within a NEMA 12 enclosure
with external control power disconnect switch.
Operator interface is by way of a Allen
Bradley key screen.
One button control starts the RTO. One button
control stops the RTO.
An Allen Bradley SLV-5/04 controls the sequence
of operation from start up to shut down.
Relays are kept to a minimum but must be
used as part of the flame safeguard system.
Combustion chamber temperature control
and VFD speed control can be accomplished by either PLC loop
interface or by stand-alone Honeywell controllers.
